Woohoo! Archie's first birthday pictures came back from my talented friend, Caroline Singletary, and I love every single one. I love how she captured the magic that is Broad9A -- the twinkling lights, the cool mural, the rustic, campy feel. When I decided to go with a "through the woods" theme for Archie's party, I couldn't think of a better place to host it!
Since I have a true love for vintage paint by numbers, I used a woodsy one as the inspiration for the invitation. The colors in the paint by number were used in Archie's highchair banner and on the food table. My mom, who is a super star baker, made Archie's tree stump cake and the sugar cookies. We also served tiny sandwiches, Teddy Graham trail mix and potato chips. I found a pretty green punch to serve a la Pinterest, and we made s'mores as party favors. I still have way too many marshmallows and Hershey bars left over from those -- yikes!
It was a wonderful day with family and friends celebrating our little man. We had the best time! Thanks for capturing everything on camera, Caroline!
