A peek inside my studio

Last week my friend Kaitie came over to snap a few photos of me "in action" at my desk. I recently made over my studio a bit; I painted the walls Sherwin Williams "Extra White," and the space is so bright and airy now, which makes for a very happy working environment. You can see before photos here and my inspiration post here

Kaitie and I met when we were both vendors at the Not Wedding last September. Her photos of the event included this gem that ended up getting posted on "Once Wed," something I was so, so happy about! It was nice to see her and catch up -- she is the sweetest and so talented. One of the reasons why I've loved living in Athens again is meeting so many young creatives in town -- there are so many people here who inspire me! After attending Field Trip I'm careful to observe photographers and see how they work -- especially how they style shots. I'm always learning. Kaitie is so good at styling and coming up with ways to make people feel comfortable in front of the lens.

Below is a little peek of my workspace -- where I paint on the daily! I love this space and it makes me happy to walk upstairs to create every day. I feel so lucky to do something I love so much. I included a source list at the end of the post in case you guys are curious where I found some of the bigger pieces in the room.

Source list:

Mail sorter: vintage from the City Hall East 2010 sale

    1. It is! It was a BEAST to get home when we found it, but a steal at $45. I couldn't leave without it :)
