I recently filed this home away under "future dream house." There is something about a California bungalow that sets it apart from other bungalows you'll find around the country. Maybe it's because everything is green and sunny year-round in California, which only makes a big, beautiful house look even better. Gorgeous bungalows like these always seem to be in movies -- like the cozy homes in a Nancy Meyers movie, you know? A Nancy Meyers set never overlooks detail in the kitchen. And I love the kitchen in this house -- it's so open and big! The grey subway tile and the butcher block island are so classic and clean. And of course, I love all the cubbies and built-ins throughout the house, too. Gah -- what a lovely house.
What I take away from this home is how white and bright it is. I recently painted my office walls white and I love how it feels in there -- I tend to feel more inspired when there's an ample amount of sunlight around. And it's true -- white really does make a space feel bigger! I have a few more plans for my office space in the coming weeks; I want to hang a small gallery wall, maybe trade my black desk in for this guy and get these shelves for all of my books, stamps and other
junk trinkets. I'll be sure to share photos when the room's complete! (again)
In the meantime, feast your eyes upon this beauty and get inspired:
