Happy Friday! And, it's November. When did that happen? I have lots of exciting things to look forward to this month. Craft show season is upon us, and I'm gearing up for a couple more Saturday mornings as a vendor at the local farmers/craft market and one more big show in December at the Indie South Fair. A few girls invited me to their cabin "craft weekend" later this month -- doesn't that sound like fun? It will be the perfect time to hang out with lovely people while also feverishly assembling gift tags and other NMP goodies just in time for the holidays. I can't wait.
Other fun things to look forward to this month:
Mom's 60th tea. I'm throwing my mom an afternoon tea for her 60th birthday with her closet girlfriends. I have a few crafty ideas in mind for the party, and I'll be sure to share them here later!
Fall layers. Is there anything more delightful this time of year than being able to wear leggings, a sweater and a big, chunky scarf? No! It's the best.
Biz Lunch: Blogging. Next Friday I'm teaching one of Treehouse's Biz Lunches, and it's going to be all about blogging. I have a few things to talk about, but if any of you have any suggestions...please pass them my way!
Thanksgiving. One of my favorite holidays of the year. We'll be celebrating three times, as always: once at my parents' house the weekend before, Thanksgiving Day at our house in Athens, and Thanksgiving the weekend after at my in-law's house. That's a lot of turkey. And dressing. And cranberry sauce. Hooray! (You all are welcome to download my turkey place card printables for Thanksgiving dinner right here).
Macklemore concert. Some friends are going with James and me to see Macklemore in Atlanta in a couple of weekends, and I can't wait. We bought his album earlier this year, and I love it. "Thrift Shop" is quirky and fun, but so many of his songs have such powerful messages of love, equality and perseverance. Also, I think he's pretty easy on the eyes. Don't tell James.
What are y'all looking forward to this month?
Also, a few more things I'd like to share from around the Web...
Still eating lots of veggies at every meal. I made this in the CrockPot yesterday, and it was delicious!
I love this essay about blogging and how it helped the author get through a dark time in his life.
It's not too early to be wearing out the new Kelly holiday album, right?! This track is my fave.
This made my heart feel happy.
Have a fabulous weekend! (Locals, come see me at the farmers market at Bishop Park tomorrow, 8 to noon!) -- Natty
