The Neon Museum

Happy Friday! I want to wrap up the week with these photos I snapped on our trip to the Neon Museum, which we visited during our trip to Las Vegas last week (I wrote more about our trip here). It's amazing to think that many of these signs were crafted and painted by hand! My favorite is the atomic Stardust sign -- seen here at its original home on top of the Stardust hotel in the 1950s. Even though most of the signs saw their prime decades ago, the sheer size and detail of the twisted metal still makes quite the statement today. It's a little sad to me that these bulbs will never shine bright on the strip again, but at least people can enjoy every one of them up close and personal -- all in one place.

You can learn more about the Neon Museum here, and see even more fabulous photos of the signs via Pinterest!

I hope you guys have a great weekend
