Odds & Ends 7/26/13

Happy Friday! What are you guys up to this weekend? We are hosting our families for a cookout at the house tomorrow, and I can't wait to see everyone -- especially my nieces and nephews! Every time I see them, I feel like they look completely different...they are growing up so fast! I plan on making these burgers, tomato pie and deviled eggs...everyone else is bringing other yummy sides to contribute. My mom is making her famous banana pudding, and I'm going to have a make-your-own sundae bar for the kids, like this. It's going to be a really good time -- we love having a full house. And, I guess I can also cross this one off the Summer Bucket List, too!

In other news, my Athens map iPhone cases arrived yesterday, and I am just so happy with the way they turned out! Since I've received a pretty positive response on FB, I decided to go ahead and put them in the shop -- you can see the listing here. I'm so excited to start selling these! I hope to add more devices and designs soon.

In the meantime, here are a few other things that caught my eye this week:

1. A cuckoo clock painted hot pink! via Design*Sponge

2. I love this funky, statement-making shrimp brooch by Iradj Moini

3. A cute portrait of Katie Armour's pug, Alfred, painted by Caitlin McGauley

4. My new Athens map iPhone cases -- because I'm biased

5. A party ain't a party without one of these two-toned balloons by Lightly

6. A grasshopper stapler would make my desk so much more fun -- via Anthropologie

And a few other things worth mentioning:

Ginny Branch's guide to Atlanta has inspired me to explore nearby Atlanta all over again

This sweet mama post by my friend Lesley makes me smile

A beautiful portrait of Ruth Bader Ginsburg from 1953

What royal baby? Jimmy Fallon and wife share first photo of baby Winnie Rose (love the name!)

Have a great weekend!
