I spotted this house via BHG and Pinterest the other night, and I oogled every last photo. I want to start a new feature on the blog today, "Home inspiration files," because I love a good house tour. It'll be hard to top this 1820s farmhouse renovation. I love the light, airy walls and furniture hues, and that each room has just the right amount of
clutter on display (ahem, collections.) I appreciate things like chipped paint, rust and something with patina, so this house is just my style. And, the backyard table (on pebbles -- just like ours!) is exactly what I want to create once the appropriate funds make it into our savings account.
Speaking of our backyard, it has been so yucky this summer, and it is just not cute enough to have its own photoshoot right now. It has rained every day this month in Georgia -- and while I'm thankful for the rain, I'm ready to see the sun again. We have a small pond that's formed in the corner of our fenced in area, and there's mud all along the bottom of the outside where the rain has splashed it up onto the wood planks. The space is definitely not too fabulous at the moment, but I still want to keep working on it and share here before the summer is over...
Y'all can see more photos of the lovely house above via BHG here. Which room/detail is your favorite?
