This weekend my parents came to visit us. We walked around downtown and wandered on to campus, ending up at my favorite spot -- the Founders Garden. It's a place on campus that's literally tucked away, kind of like a secret oasis. James didn't even know it existed! Even though the area is surrounded by hustle and bustle, all you can hear is the water from the fountain and the birds chirping in the trees. It's peaceful in there.
After dinner we trekked over to The Bottleworks to see the My Athens show, where a few of my pen and inks of local buildings are currently on display. All of the Instagram photos in the show benefit charity, so I picked this one to frame and take home with me. When I bent over to read the name on the sticker, I realized it was taken by a friend of mine! So of course, now I love it even more.
Not pictured: one epic dance party at Little Kings Shuffle Club, in honor of our friends who are moving this week. A good time was had by all until the wee hours in the morning...making it a pretty proper send-off, if I do say so myself.
