Odds and Ends 3/8/13

It's been a hectic few days around here -- work is ramping up for wedding season, and while I'm busy with client projects, I'm also busy updating the shop. I've needed to take better photos of items for a long time, but I kept putting it off because it's so time consuming and a bit of a yawn. (So of course, I put it off until I'm crazy busy -- that is so me to do that. I work best under pressure. It's a bad habit of mine that I'd love to break!) This week's to-do list included taking photos of my inventory and new inventory, editing them, rewriting/writing listings, writing a new copyright statement...and then adding it all to the shop. Whew. And I'm still not finished! It's a one-woman show over here. I will daydream of having an assistant until I can actually afford one! One day...maybe.

This weekend James and I are going to see my sweet cousin, her hubby and their new baby, little Tyler Sterling. (Penny will finally have a playmate in the family!) He's not quite one week old, and I can't wait to hold him!

I hope you all have a great weekend. It's "spring break" here in Athens (our town is also a college town), so if you're heading somewhere warm for the weekend/week, take me with you have fun!

Before I go, here are the sources for the above finds of the week + a few links to share:

1. This "I love you" canvas would make a neat DIY project...via Kristin Peake Interiors

2. A floral painting that literally makes me feel happy by Carrie Schmitt

3. The cutest hedgehog doorstop from Old Faithful Shop

4. Invites by Three Little Words via Style Me Pretty (does anyone know what font this is?!)

5. "You are such a peach" stamp by Lindsay Letters (since I'm a Georgia peach, I clearly need this)

6. Loving this teal patterned fabric by Lulu DK spotted via House Beautiful Magazine

And a few other things worth sharing:

I'm going to be first in line to get my Fitz tickets this morning!

Can't wait to read this book -- I know it will be just as hilarious as the blog

What your favorite Disney princess says about you

Absolutely in love with this bride's mother's altered 1963 wedding dress

This sweet post by a friend really touched my heart

They're still a work in progress, but check out my new "branded" FB fan pages, here + here

Have a lovely weekend!
