Odds and ends 3/29/13

A lot of random things caught my eye this week -- like this antique toilet paper roll holder in London that Emily found and Instagrammed a few days ago. I never thought I would covet something that holds toilet paper. Never say never.

I've been working on some new NMP products, like iPhone cases and wrapping paper (!), but I'm having a tough time finding vendors that are affordable and will let you buy in bulk -- with a discount. I also need someone to design and produce iPhone packaging for me, and finding that person is turning out to be a lot harder than I originally thought it would be. Do you guys know any designers that would be able to help a girl out?! I've even reached out to some bloggers who have Etsy shops where they sell their custom iPhone cases, crossing my fingers they would spill their secrets. ...I haven't heard back from any of them. Shoot.

I hope you all have a great weekend. I'll be running a 5K with some friends tomorrow to benefit The Cottage, a sexual assault and children's advocacy center. Our nieces are also in a recital tomorrow night, which should be cute. And Sunday we're trekking to my cousin's house for Easter, and my whole family will  be there. I can't wait to see all of them!

Until then...

A few things that caught my eye this week:

1. Elsie and Emma's vintage planter and cactus garden!

2. Hannah is writing a cookbook! Get it, girl.

3. Strawberry pretzel jello salad: a contender for Easter lunch.

4. How cool is the shape of this vintage film projector?

5.  That dreamy toilet paper roll holder. Photo by Emily Henderson.

6. Lovely still life paintings by Lisa Daria.

And a few other things worth sharing:

Adorable bunny pancake tushies via The Chick n' Coop

A how-to built-in apothecary cabinet (yes, please!) by Tidbits from the Tremaynes

I just realized this gal is a real cat this week, and I'm obsessed! (Late to the party, I know)

Counting down the days until April 7 (and look at all the big hair!)

Have a great one, friends!

  2. My mom used to make strawberry pretzel salad for every special occasion when I was a little girl! And it was the one thing I'd beg for when I came home on break during college. I love all these super Southern congealed "salads" masquerading as non-dessert. :)

    1. Yes! Desserts disguised as "salads" are a-ok in my book.
