I am declaring this week a success as far as my new small biz goal goes. Two wholesale orders are on the books, and I have a sales meeting with another in a week (doesn't that sound so fancy and professional?) I'm hoping to have my Auburn map finished and in the shop later today, so I can cross that off my to-do list, too. Small college towns are so beloved by their students, residents and alumni. I'm hoping my maps/school related products will be a something I can sell wholesale to town's shops and boutiques in the future -- because who doesn't love something that reminds them of their college hay days?! I know I do. Hmm. I think there's a light bulb going off in my head somewhere...do you guys have a town you love that you'd like to see added to the shop?
I've been busy with Etsy orders and such, so the blog fell by the wayside a little this week...but I wanted to thank you guys so much for all the sweet comments regarding our guest room. It is my favorite room in the house besides our living room (coming soon!), and it makes me feel happy that y'all appreciate its brightness and quirkiness as much as I do.
In other news, James and I are running a 5K race tomorrow morning. Tonight I will be cramming some new running tunes on my iPhone -- this song + this one are two of my current faves. Do you guys have any crazy fast/upbeat/workout-ish songs to recommend? Please send them my way!
To end the week, here are the sources for the above pretties + a few things I'd like to share:
2. Spring is almost here, and I want to recreate this succulent centerpiece to celebrate.
4. Tickled over these "feminist" posters for little girls by Amanda Vissell.
5. A puffin cookie jar for the kitchen? Yes, I think so.
6. I have a thing for abstract art lately. This piece by Lauren Adams is a new favorite.
Other things worth sharing:
Just signed up to take Anne Elser's Copperplate calligraphy workshop in April and I'm pumped!
I cannot believe Google is discontinuing Google Reader. I'm now using Feedly, though, and I like it.
Late to the party (I think?), but this is my new favorite tv show -- seriously. amazing.
After thinking of the things I "like" on Facebook...this is probably true.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
