Books: My favorite love stories

The approach of Valentine's Day has me in a lovey dovey read! Here are a few of my favorite* love stories:

"Memoirs of a Geisha," by Arthur Golden

"Vaclav & Lena," by Haley Tanner

"The Time Traveler's Wife," by Audrey Niffenegger

"The Paris Wife," by Paula Mclain

"My Life in France," by Julia Child and Alex Prud'Homme

"Rules of Civility," by Amor Towles

*(I'm now reading #6. I just finished "Gone Girl," and I couldn't put it down! It's not quite a love story, but a great page turner, nonetheless).

What is your favorite love story?

  1. I loved and cried my eyes out at The Time Traveler's wife. It is my favorite book!! Such a powerful story! =)

    1. I was surprised how much I loved the book -- I read it before I saw the movie. Time traveling is a tricky subject to make me "believe" in, but I totally bought into it with this story. The book literally made me tear up, which never, ever happens for me. I love it, too!

  2. oh I ADORE the Paris wife - so happy to see it on your list!!

    1. It is one of my favorite books! Made me "fall in love" with Hemingway. He must have been such a stud :)

  3. oooh love this list! you nailed it with the time traveler's wife and the paris wife - two of my favorites! I just checked out rules of civility and vaclav & lena from the library... plan to read both during my trip to boston this weekend! xo
