“Walk with the dreamers, the believers, the courageous, the cheerful, the planners, the doers, the successful people with their heads in the clouds and their feet on the ground. Let their spirit ignite a fire within you to leave this world better than when you found it...” ― Wilferd Peterson
I found this quote somewhere on the Web earlier this week, and it stuck with me. It's a nice one to keep in your back pocket, especially when you're feeling down. I like to surround myself with positive people, and this just reminded me that I need to try hard every day to be one of them, too. You attract what you project. Truth.
The highlight of this week was having my cousin, Amy, my uncle and little Penny come visit us in Athens for lunch and a trip to the zoo. Penny was a little bummed that the zoo didn't have any cows, but I think she enjoyed the owls, turkeys, deer, beavers and bears! (Yep -- turkeys and deer. We love our quirky little zoo!) Penny is just the cutest thing. I wish they lived closer so we could see them more often!

This weekend we're going to spend some time in nearby Madison with my family, and I'm crossing my fingers that James and I find a treasure or two to take home with me. Plus, Madison is just a place that makes me happy. I love all of the cute homes, the shops, the ice cream parlor. It is a sweet town.
And in other news, James and I are counting down the days until we take our getaway to Charleston. We've been looking up things for us to get into while we're there, like touring the Magnolia Plantation, seeing a flick at the Charleston IMAX and maybe visiting the Edisto Serpentarium. (Deep down, I'm crossing my fingers for freakishly warm temperatures so we can sit by the pool. It could happen! Come on, global warming!) I'm also collecting the perfect list of books to read. Do any of you have any books to recommend? Y'all have steered me in the right direction before, so I'm hoping you guys have some awesome suggestions for me this time, too. (Thank you!)
Other than that, here's my Friday round-up of pretty, fun, fabulous things from around the Web I'd like to share with y'all:
I love this school house wedding!
A cool snail mail challenge, shared with me by a reader.
ModCloth is having their Cabin Fever Sale, and it's fantastic! Check it out here.
This is exactly why I've thought about logging off for good in the past. Would you agree?
I love the first family, and this just makes me love them more!
Enjoyed this Photoshop letterpress tutorial via Pugly Pixel.
For a good laugh, read this passive-agressive note.
Interesting, quirky and strange Disney facts.
Speaking of Disney, what if the heroines of each movie had piercings and tattoos?
Have a great weekend!
