Christmastime via Instagram

These past few weeks leading up to Christmas have been quite the whirlwind around here. I love that Instagram allows me to reflect back on fleeting moments, like admiring the twinkling lights lining the streets downtown or catching B staring up into the tree, eyes fixed on her favorite stuffed ornament (I'm still waiting for the day when I catch her doing this).

At the farmers market last weekend, I snagged that pretty Christmas swag for the front door for just $10. I love the okra and the hanging burrs (is that what they're called??), and it makes me smile every time I come home and walk up to the front door. I'm also loving all of the snail mail we've been getting lately -- holiday cards have been pouring in the last few days, and my new DIY card hoop (compliments of Martha) is looking quite full. Is it acceptable to leave it up through January? I think I just might.

Sometimes all of the rushing can make the holiday feel like it comes and goes much too quickly, so I hope you all are able to stop and pause this week to enjoy some of the little things -- and fleeting moments -- before Christmas is here.
