Happy weekend, friends! Well, the time has finally arrived...time for me to take Blogshop, that is. I am equal parts nervous and excited, but I know it will be a great time and I'll learn so much. James and I are staying at my parents' house this weekend, too -- we'll travel to north Georgia for my cousin's Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday night, and back to my parents' house for Turkey Day lunch the next afternoon. I'll miss the event on Sunday because of class, but I'll see my family Saturday night, which I'm thankful for. You guys, I know I say this every week, but I can't believe the holidays are here already!
Yesterday I trekked over to this woman's house to see my friends' mom/mother-in-law, Leslie. She and two of her friends are hired every year to decorate Suzanne's home for Christmas, and they blow it out big. It was like a winter wonderland! I've never seen anything more beautiful and festive. I learned a few tricks of the trade while I was there, and I plan to share them here in the next week or so as I decorate my own Christmas tree. I've always wondered how those designer trees look so good. It was for sure an educational couple of hours. And fun, too!
To wrap up the week, I want to leave y'all with a short link list. So without further ado, here it is:
- Why MTV doesn't play music videos anymore
- Life lessons from "New Girl"
- These veggies made me laugh
- Pet portraits make a great holiday gift...learn more here!
- I made this for dinner this week, and it was delish
- Maybe I can teach B how to be this civilized
- What if this happened to you on a tour of an art museum?
And, in case you missed it: free Thanksgiving printables, designed and illustrated by yours truly!
Have a great weekend!
