On Saturday James and I met my parents and little brother in my former Atlanta neighborhood for brunch. We drove by and waved at the old house, walked around the small square area and enjoyed good food at Murphy's. (My omelette didn't photograph as nicely as my mom's cinnamon powdered sugar French toast, so I added that picture of it for all of you to drool over! Yumm-o, right?) The waiter even brought me a tiny dessert with a birthday candle. Afterwards we walked to a nearby park to talk a little more, enjoying the crisp air on a beautiful fall afternoon. The day went by way too fast, and I'm already looking forward to the next time we can all get together -- for my mother's birthday, in just two weeks!

How was your weekend?

  1. It looks like you had a beautiful birthday in Virginia Highlands. Oh how I love that area. A Murphy's brunch was actually mine and Jon's official first date. So yummy!
