Weekend + 10 Pins

Just as I predicted, a weekend with some of my most favorite people would give me a makeover -- on the inside -- like nothing else could. It was so much fun having a house full of friends for three days, including one of my best friends who is moving to Europe tomorrow for a few years. I am so sad to see her go so far away, but I know this is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime I'm trying my best to be happy for her. And hey, maybe James and I can visit them before they move back to the states...

The Bulldogs pulled out a big win on Saturday night, so everything was alright in Athens. We started off the day with a big tailgate on north campus, and then we watched the game at the Georgia Theatre for a short time downtown -- picture to the left. When it got a little too crowded, we moved next door to The Globe. About 10 of us had our own private party in the living room area upstairs with our own couch, kitchen table and a tv...oh, and a bartender in the corner! We must be living right. It was awesome.

Yesterday I drove my friend home to her parents' house, where she's staying before she moves overseas. We stopped into this antique mall before saying goodbye. I found a few treasures, and discovered a corner of the store filled with so much vintage Pyrex that you would think you've died and gone to Pyrex heaven. I wanted to take it all home with me. Luckily, the Mister was there to -- very gently -- talk me out of it. Sometimes I need him in my life to ensure that our house doesn't turn into something that will one day be featured on this tv show (ha ha). I snapped a photo of the Pyrex before I left (here) -- isn't it pretty?

So today is a new day, and it just so happens to be the first day of my favorite month of the year -- October. It's the month I was born, the month of Halloween and the month that it really starts feeling like fall around here.

Here are 10 pins that get me all excited for what lies ahead!

Happy October, y'all
