This week has been so productive, and that feels so good. I made it to all three of my boot camp classes, my yoga class and I finished several personal work projects that have been sitting on my desk for ages. (Yay, me!) My other major accomplishment of the week was organizing my closet. My closet was a place of chaos basically since we moved in to our house a year and a half ago. I kind of just threw things on hangers and in shelves and continued to pile up anything new on top of the mess that was already there. Not only could I not see everything I owned, but so much of it needed to be donated. I finally couldn't take it anymore! I took every single thing out of my closet (which was incredibly scary -- I just might be a hoarder), and before anything went back inside, I decided whether or not to keep it or donate it.
I donated a ton of clothes this week, and so many of them were impulse buys that I've only worn once or not at all. And none of these impulse buys were new clothes -- every last item was from Goodwill or a vintage shop! I made a promise to myself to work on that -- even though something is $4.95 at Goodwill, those purchases add up fast. I gotta start thinking long and hard before I buy something, no matter how cheap it is. Right now my closet is a happy, organized space, and I want to keep it that way. I'm waiting on this light fixture to come in the mail to complete the look, and I plan on posting pictures soon to share with you guys. I created a corner with my jewelry, headbands and hats displayed, and I bought a really cool small wood dresser with chalkboard drawers to organize underwear, scarves, swimsuits, leggings, etc. I think the light fixture will really be the icing on the cake!
I hope you all have a happy weekend, and I'll see y'all back here next week ♥
