Country Wedding Beauty Ideas

Today you can find me over at TLC Weddings, where I've written a piece titled, "5 Country Wedding Beauty Ideas." My cousin recently got married in the country in north Georgia, and it was a beautiful ceremony and reception that took place in a field of rolling hills dotted with livestock and a big rustic barn. It couldn't have been a more beautiful wedding! (I did a little research in preparation of this piece and asked her for the skinny, so thanks for the tips, Lisa!) True story -- I didn't even know sweat proof makeup existed when the Mister and I exchanged "I do's" a couple of years ago. I imagine these kind of cosmetics are life savers for brides who get married outdoors, especially during the warmest months of the year.  Y'all can read the article over at TLC Weddings right here if you want to check it out!

Also, I'd love to hear -- did any of you get married in the country? If so, did you do anything different with your makeup or beauty regimen because you were tying the knot outside? I'm curious to know what you guys have to add!

  1. Sweat proof makeup?!?! I wish I had know about that just a few months ago for my outdoor wedding! While we lucked out and it wasn't too toasty for our May 19th wedding, I made sure to have plenty of blotting linens on hand to control the shine, ahem, newly-married glow. And, I opted for false lashes instead of heavy mascara that could melt in the heat.

    1. Blotting tissues are the bomb for sure! I actually splurged on eyelash extensions for my wedding instead of falsies, and they were amazing. If they weren't so pricey I would get them all. the. time.

  2. Lovely post! Congrats on the TLC feature!
