When the Mister popped the big Q to me over three years ago, I was so, so excited! Of course, I was thrilled to marry him, but I was also really excited to ask my best friends to be my bridesmaids. I searched high and low for the perfect "will you be my bridesmaid?" cards, and I was disappointed by the lack of fun paper products for this common, momentous occasion. So, I did what I usually do when this happens: I made them myself. (Sidenote: when another friend recently became engaged, she complained about the exact same thing. What's goin' on, wedding industry? Remind me to make some new bridesmaid cards for the shop when I have some free time. There's apparently a demand.)
My imagination ran wild -- what could I make for my friends? I finally decided to go with a silhouette theme. I found an easy how-to on the Web, and I got to work. I was, and still am, surprised how easy it is to make professional looking silhouettes, all in a matter of seconds! No matter how great your scissor skills are, you can make these. Promise. (If you're interested, you can see my final bridesmaid cards here. ...and wow, that is an old post).
Recently, this fun couple to your right-- our good friends Pana and Jayce -- asked me to make new silhouettes for them and their beloved fluffy white kitty, Bella (that's them, above!). Pana was one of my maids of honor, so she already had a silhouette, but I wanted to make a bigger one for her to match Jayce's and Bella's. I'm going to be busy writing the DIY post this weekend, and it'll go live next week! So, stay tuned.
Until then...Have a lovely weekend! ♥
