The other night, the Mister hung our new bistro lights, courtesy of the PB. That's him on the porch, standing tall and proud of his handy work. The lights are so pretty! Having the added bit of ambiance as we sit on the back porch -- watching the sun sink behind the trees -- makes me feel extra warm and fuzzy inside. Sometimes I can't believe that I ever felt hesitant about moving back to Athens from Atlanta (because I was). We are truly happy with the laid back atmosphere in this town. And especially happy with our lazy, twinkly back porch.
In other news, my cousin recently commissioned me for a quirky wedding portrait of her sister -- also my cousin, obvs -- and future brother-in-law, driving away on their wedding night with dogs Brutus and Scout in tow. It was a super fun idea, and I went to town with it. I can't wait for their wedding, which is this weekend! (I made these pen and ink notecards for the happy couple, too.) The rehearsal dinner is tonight -- a low-country boil, complete with a bluegrass band (!) and I can't wait to see everyone. It's gonna be a good time, for sure.
I hope the weekend has something fun in store for all of you, too! What are y'all up to?
