How was your Labor Day weekend?
Ours was busy and lots of fun. As you know, we traveled to Atlanta on Saturday to tailgate with friends before going to the big game at the Georgia Dome. As you may or may not know, our beloved Dawgs lost...but we had a really great time, anyway. I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday in the fall than tailgating with good friends and watching a little football. But man oh man, was it hot. 95 degrees on a blacktop for 8 hours had me in a bit of a heat stroke -- but, we still had a ball.
Sunday my parents visited us in Athens, and we ate brunch at our favorite place and stopped by the secret Athens zoo. We have quite the attractions -- including deer, turkeys and owls...but we also have two black bears, a bald eagle, a bobcat and two alligators. One of the alligators is named Dill Pickle, which made me laugh. And why are bobcats so cute and cuddly looking (like an oversize Bianca) but so mean? I wanted to reach through the fence and squeeeze the sweet
little big bobcat. Probably not a good idea.
I hope y'all had a fun first weekend of September, too. Fall is just around the corner -- I can feel it!
