This weekend James and I had a blast with some of our favorite people. Saturday was spent bonding with our neighbors -- the boys went golfing and the ladies went antiquing/thrifting in town (one of my favorite weekend activities, as many of you know). I scored a lovely repurposed wristwatch-clock-turned-necklace from Dynamite, and Melissa and Erin found several treasures of their own -- artwork, knick-knacks and a cute retro top! We took a break to check out the newly restored Georgia Theatre and its rooftop bar, and once we were on the roof, we sat back and enjoyed the view -- and an afternoon cocktail.
This weekend was also our friend Mia's 30th birthday, and a group of us surprised her at Speakeasy for an evening of wine and tapas. James and I also hosted his buddies for their annual Fantasy Football draft on Sunday, so after grilling out and making my mother's infamous "White Trash" (edited by Alton Brown) for the boys, I tried to stay out of their way as they got down to business. Also, I could have sworn I felt a cool breeze or two while we were on the back porch, chowing down on our burgers. Fall, is that you coming around the corner?
It was a great weekend. How was your's?
