This weekend...was hot. Seriously, I am so ready for fall, cool breezes, and being able to walk to my mailbox without breaking out in an icky sweat. But, the heat wave didn't keep us from doing the things we love to do outside. No sir! I ate fresh raspberries on the front porch after watching baby Guy while his mama was at a closing, James and I went thrifting, (I swiped a ceramic hippo box for $3, a ceramic elephant planter for $6, and a Viewmaster for $5 -- with an extra 20% off! Score!) ate a delicious dinner at Last Resort Grill, (had to squeeze one last visit in before all the college kids swoop back into town and bump the wait list up to 2 hours), and attended the Kilgore family reunion -- a tradition for 44 years! I loved seeing James's dad, his brothers, my sister-in-law and all of the pint-size redheads in our family. It was a full weekend, and as always, it flew by way too quickly. Now, if only the rest of summer could fly by just as fast, so fall can arrive just a little bit early this year...
