Wanted: Vintage Framed Embroidery

I recently snagged a large, vintage framed embroidery piece for $7 at a local thrift shop -- on the back is a note that reads "I embroidered this for Bee-Bee for her birthday, March 1, in 1965" and an address: "Martha (Mrs. S.L.) Burgess - 310 S. Church St., #1. It now hangs over our piano, and I smile every time I walk past it in the hallway. Of course, now I'm scouring Etsy for all things embroidered, and I'm tickled with the great pieces I'm finding. My favorite is the Victorian doll house -- how amazing is that?!

  1. I LOVE the second one! It's still cool and vintage, but it still looks like it would be completely at home in a modern house.
