Our 4th of July Weekend

James and I spent our 4th of July weekend with all of our favorites. Saturday we drove to middle Georgia to see my sweet friend Lindsay, visiting from Washington DC, and some of our other friends from Atlanta. We swam, we ate (note: the best corn I've had in my entire life) and we drank together until dusk. Saturday we traveled to Atlanta to visit with more friends (and the best dog ever, Chibi). Pana really outdid herself with her homemade vanilla ice cream, which I haven't had since I was a little kid. It was fluffy, sweet and creamy -- basically what all ice cream dreams are made of. Not pictured: our neighborhood block party that actually took place on the 4th, complete with a full tub of homegrown veggies, a campfire grill and $300 worth of fireworks. It was a great long weekend....shouldn't all weekends be 3 days long?
