The Kilgore Photo Wall

A month or so ago, I was incredibly inspired by John and Sherry's photo gallery, and I knew I had to make one for myself. It took me awhile to find the right pictures frames, (scouring local thrift stores, antique markets and junk piles), and I took y'all's advice and used some white spray paint to fix them up. After spending a few nights rearranging the frames on the floor, I took the plunge and hammered a few nails into the wall. I have to give myself a little pat on the back -- since I despise a tape measure, I eyeballed it all...and I only had to re-hammer something once! I did, however, break a picture frame. The project was going too smoothly-- something bad was bound to happen.

So, what's the verdict? James and I really like it, and we decided the photo wall is definitely here to stay. And there's always the idea of add-ons...

  1. Ooooh, I like it! You'll have to check out mine and Jennifer's photo wall. We have it going up the entire staircase. It's a hodgepodge of different color frames, though. And it's everything from photos, to our own artwork, prints, shadowboxes, and even a antique rake with all of our marathon/half marathon medals hanging from it.
