Isle of Palms

Our trip to Isle of Palms, South Carolina last week was just what James and I needed-- seven days of relaxing by the ocean and sleeping in the sun. Our little sea cabin was the perfect size for the two of us, and we even had access to a private pier! Every day around 4 pm I could be found drinking my fave beverage poolside, and at night, we sampled the local fare. (To those of you in the area, can I recommend Sullivan's? Two words: seafood casserole. Delicious).

Every day we tried to explore the island and Charleston as much as we could. We sampled cupcakes at Olivia's favorite bakery, Sugar Bake Shop, and ate brunch at Hominy Grill. We walked up and down King Street, ate plenty of coconut shrimp, and watched the Riverdogs play baseball Friday night -- with a fireworks display at the end of the game! There are so many pictures that I had to break it up just a little, but in the coming days, I'll share a little more. It was a great trip!

  1. How are they flying all those kites at once?!? Beautiful pictures/post - it sounds like a great vacation spot.

  2. Sounds--and looks awesome!

  3. Do I spy a Jack Russell in one of those pictures?!
