Betsy's last bridal shower was last weekend at a family friend's 1800s Victorian home in Newnan, Georgia. Apparently Sherman missed this area on his March to the Sea, so parts of the house date back to before the Civil War! Needless to say, I was a kid in a candy shop. It was raining, so I didn't get a good picture of the house from outside, but it was so pretty!

My favorite details of the shower include the magnificent tree bloom in a vase as the centerpiece for the buffet, giant red velvet cupcakes, and the "Something Blue" punch (with a splash of vodka). Is there a cuter name for punch at a bridal shower?

James came down with a nasty cold Friday night, so the rest of our weekend was spent relaxing at home and staying out of the rain. The sun is finally out today, and James's sniffles are few and far between, so maybe we'll get into some trouble out and about today!

Have a great Monday afrernoon, friends!
