Bye-bye, Atlanta - helllo Athens!

Well, I realized once we arrived in Athens last weekend that I forgot to officially wave "good-bye" to Atlanta! I will miss living in the middle of cute, old neighborhoods downtown, but I have to say, I think I experienced almost everything the city has to offer. I basically conquered my bucket list, and even though I didn't meet a "Real Housewife," my sister-in-law and niece dined at Twist in Buckhead a few weeks ago and sent me a picture with Kayleigh on Kim's lap- (that had me on the floor in giggles). I think six degrees of separation allows me to at least halfway cross number 14 off the list, right?

Thank you for all of your sweet notes and comments about our new home. We are so excited, and I have had so much fun moving in. In the midst of winter's ice, snow and cold temperatures, we couldn't have asked for better weather last weekend. Atlanta experienced a bit of a spring tease, and the temperature reached a cool 65 degrees!

The night we moved in, a group of our neighbors came by to introduce themselves and invited us to the neighborhood's fire pit. We shared a few beers around the fire, got to know each other, and I was thrilled to learn that they are almost all our age, super cool, and a few of them even watch Bravo more than I do. One of my neighbors started the new farmers' market downtown, and promised to leave many a Mason jar filled with fresh, home-grown veggies on our porch this spring. Could I ask for more perfect neighbors?!

Over the past few days, I've completely fallen in love with our new little house. Since we're on top of a hill, we can see the sun rise and set over the trees on the horizon, and the pitter-patter of the rain on the tin roof is the best sound in the world. And after living in several old homes and buildings, I'm still freaking out about all the closet and cabinet space we have. Stay tuned for pics, and I hope you all have a lovely evening!
