Il Localino

The past couple of days I worked the Culinary Show at AmericasMart downtown; my mom and her friends work in The Royal Standard's showroom during most every show, and every once in awhile, they'll ask me to join so I can make a little extra moola (and turn around and spend most of it on amazing housewares, jewelry, and other fun things throughout the Mart - sigh).

Last night I took my mom (in the pink, below) and her friends to Il Localino in my neighborhood ("The Local" in Italian). The cutest Italian man, Giovanni, (accent and all), runs the restaurant and cooks up the best baked ziti you've ever had in your whole life. I love that when 8 o'clock rolls around, the music gets louder, the servers dance around with each other, and they pull hats off the walls and plop them on customers' heads. It was a good time for all!
