If all goes well...our future home:

James and I traveled to the Classic City yesterday to meet with our real estate agent and our builder, and by the time we left, we were giddy. James and I recently spotted a house under contract that we absolutely loved, and we asked our agent if our builder could replicate it for us on the lot we have our eye on. Not only was the answer "yes," but he's already built the same exact house four times. Today, he went over the floor plan with us, and suggested making some changes and additions that we loved. For one, he is going to work with us on every last detail of the house, from the farmhouse kitchen sink to the light fixtures to the fireplace. He's also going to build shelving units on either side of the fireplace (you all know I love cubbies and shelves and anything to stack stuff on). Plus, the front and back porches are seriously to. die. for.

We were also able to walk through the same house (the builder's friend's home), and were totally stoked to see that the house is even bigger than it appears online. We're hoping to move in late next spring/early summer, so we're going to relish every moment we have left in Atlanta until then. And since Athens is a special place during the fall, we expect our house to be full of friends and family every single weekend from Labor Day to the weekend after Thanksgiving. To see more pictures of the house that's already built (again, not ours, but will be very similar), you can click here. Yay! We are so happy and excited!
