Sardi's in NYC

Lately I've been constantly daydreaming of the beach and my upcoming honeymoon, but today I'm daydreaming about another favorite place of mine, New York City. What are the sites I have yet to see in the city? One of them is Sardi's restaurant in Manhattan. I can remember my very first moment of fascination with this restaurant - when Kermit the Frog replaces Liza Manelli's caricature off the wall with one of himself in the Muppets Take Manhattan. As a kid, I loved to draw, and I was mesmerized by all of the movie star's crazy portraits on the walls, hung neatly in long rows behind the dinner tables.
The restaurant has been around since the 1920s and has always been a popular hangout for theater goers since it is right in the middle of the theater district. There are hundreds of caricatures at Sardi's, and several famous movies and television shows have been filmed there (Mad Men, Seinfeld, The Producers, etc.). While the founding family of the restaurant was Italian (the Sardi family), the menus are mostly made up of traditional "English" dishes. So who wants to make a trip with me to eat at Sardi's? It's on my to-see, to-eat list next time I'm in NYC...
